Local Chapter: Jamestown, District VIII

Laurie is a Business Management Consultant with LL Consulting. She has had a varied career - working for the Jamestown Community College for 18 years as Campus Life Director and Coordinator of the Scandinavian Studies Program. She moved to the non-profit arena working as Assistant Administrator for a retirement home, as Business Manager for a local youth development agency; as Community Coalition Coordinator for the Chautauqua Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Council; and as an auditor of a local CPA in Buffalo. Laurie received a BS in Management from Houghton College in 2001 and an MS in Management in 2003 from St. Bonaventure University.

NYSW Experience:
Laurie joined the Jamestown BPW in 1999 and was President in 2003/05. She is currently finishing a two-year term as Director of District VII. She served as State Historian (2004/05); District Legislation Chair (2001/03). Laurie has been leading the development of a three-year strategic plan for BPW/nys; this plan was adopted at the 2007 Winter Board meeting. She has also presented various workshops at board meetings and annual conference.

Other Activities:
Laurie is dedicated to the improvement of life through her participation in organizations including the Chautauqua Leadership Network, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County, the Chautauqua County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the YWCA of Jamestown.
